Rules of Force - Steve Statham
If you’re into action-packed stories of transhumanism that resist being put down, then this is for you. An interesting painting of a world where there is a great variety of possibilities for modifying the body, mechanically, biologically etc. (and for variously functional/cosmetic purposes) and where those modifications don’t always work well or without undesirable side-effects.
I read this having fairly recently completed Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which it sits well with.
I heard about it through a colleague, whose friend wrote it. I think it’s cool that these days I can read more things written by people who are included in my not-so-distant social network.
